In the News at Starkville Presbyterian ChurchBuilding Dedication
Please join us on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 2:30 for a special service dedicating our facility at 280 Linden Circle, Starkville, MS. There will be a reception following the dedication and we plan to have our service completed in time for people to attend the installation of the Rev. Natalie Wolf at our sister church, Trinity Presbyterian, PC(USA). In-Person Worship Resumed
Starkville Presbyterian Church has resumed in-person worship on Sunday mornings at 10:00 in our new facility located at 280 Linden Circle, Starkville, MS. We are following COVID-19 protocols and require face masks to be worn at all times and are requiring physical distancing between immediate family units. We are currently not having fellowship. You will be directed directly to your seat and dismissed in an orderly fashion. We hope that as more people receive vaccinations, and the number of COVID decreases, we will be able to resume fellowship and lessen the restrictions. We do realize that these restrictions are cumbersome, however, we do have several members in our congregation who are especially susceptible to COVID and we ask that you follow these protocols, if not for yourself, then out of respect for your fellow brothers and sisters. COVID-19 Update
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Session met both Saturday and Sunday and decided, out of caution, to cancel face-to-face church meetings (worship, social, choir, etc.) until at least April 5, 2020. The session will meet prior to then to re-evaluate the situation. We have also decided to postpone our move to the MSU Wesley Foundation until the beginning of the Fall Semester. This is mainly a result of MSU moving to on-line classes for the foreseeable future. Although we will not be meeting face-to-face as a congregation, we will continue to worship. Our Interim Minister, Ron McDougald will be preparing each week a video with an abbreviated worship service/sermon and post it on YouTube. Please check your email again on Thursday on how to access this video. The Session is also committed to meeting your spiritual needs. If you need care, please contact our Interim Minister or an Elder. The COVID-19 Information file below contains some information that you may find useful.
